All songs written by Reed, with the collaborative efforts of co-producers Matt Moss, Finbarr Massi, Warren Rigg, Richard Morel, Quentin Harris and more. Annie Lennox – The Annie Lennox Collection
Annie Lennox, the most successful female British artist in pop music history, is releasing a 14-song retrospective, bringing together her finest solo work and two new songs available exclusively in this collection. Spanning 15 years, The Annie Lennox Collection is also available in a limited deluxe CD/DVD edition includes hits from her four top-selling solo albums Diva (1992), Medusa (1995), Bare (2003) and last year’s highly praised that we reviewed, Songs of Mass Destruction (2007). The timeless music selected for this collection uniquely reflects the essence of the singer’s instantly recognizable brand of soul music on tracks like “Why,” “Walking on Broken Glass” and “No More ‘I Love You’s’” — a song that earned Lennox one of her four Grammys.
Cut Copy – In Ghost Colours
The electro-pop movement has taken over dance floors and IPods just about everywhere lately, and the Australian-based Cut Copy is treading right along with. The band’s eclectic mix of rock, disco and synthesizer melodies proves to be an exciting change for modern music, ironically enough by going back a few decades. With a sound reminiscent of 1980’s pop funk beats (but with significantly more edge) Copy’s sophomore album In Ghost Colours> is engaging music fans across the globe.
Antony and The Johnsons – The Crying Light
Trying to pinpoint or box-in musically Antony and The Johnsons is very difficult. The easiest comparison is a experimental cross between Tori Amos, Bjork and Judy Garland combined – but it doesn’t distill the power of their music. The Crying Light is an exploration of his relationship with the natural world, the music is haunting, intimate, magical, captivating, artistic, poetic and challenging to you the listener, and to those who make music for a living….this is a compelling album.

Matt Morris – Backstage at Bonnarroo and Other Acoustic Performances

Matt Morris, remember the name America, because this gentleman is going places. He’s playful, seductive, fun, and has heart and soul in his music. Signed to Justin Timberlake’s Tennman Records, this teaser to his full release is nothing short of incredible. I haven’t heard a singer this real or solid or captivating in a long, long time.
