Adam Lambert (Facebook, Twitter) will be returning to the American Idol stage on Thursday, March 10th to perform an acoustic version of “Aftermath”.

Immediately following Lambert’s performance on Idol, a remix of “Aftermath” (remixed by Billboard) will be made available on AdamOfficial.com with part of the proceeds going to support The Trevor Project.

The Trevor Project (Facebook,  Twitter) is the leading national organization focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.  The Trevor Lifeline: 866.4.U.TREVOR.

Says Lambert through his official site:  ”[“Aftermath”]…was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you. It’s about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners. I hope this song inspires people to be who they truly want to be… And dance!”

Lambert’s debut album For Your Entertainment has sold over 1 million copies worldwide since making it’s debut at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in November 2009. He is first American Idol to ever tour the world in support of their debut album in the year following their Idol season.

Jessie James (MySpace, Twitter) could end up being the most wanted new Mercury Records recording artist in country music today with her hit single, “Wanted,” co-written by James and American Idol’s Kara DioGuardi.  There hasn’t been a artist since Shania Twain on Mercury who has the capability to use her sex appeal and make the country pop crossover, but there’s more to James than looking good.

“Wanted”, a unapologetic country-pop song of flirty seduction, is blazing the charts and the remixes are quite hot too.  “Bullet” was definitely branded for James and targeting those who can relate to their Southern daddies being overprotective of their daughter and perfectly knowing what they are capable of drawing: “Cause I’m the kinda girl that you wanna show off / I’ll charm all your friends with my southern drawl.”

Her range is incredible, and there’s no way anyone can accuse Jessie of being a one hit wonder or just another pretty face.  “I Look So Good (Without You)” shows off her range, as well as showing a different side of self confidence, and should be her next single.

“Burning Bridges” is a country ballad at it’s best – and I think the gay community can connect to this one’s sincerity of living without apology no matter what others think of you:  “I ain’t burnin’ bridges / I’m tryin’ to mend them / I apologize / If I ever hurt your feelings / Got my own convictions / And I’ve got to live them / I ain’t burnin’ bridges / That ain’t my intention / I ain’t got nothing to hide / Yeah I’m good with God, my soul is naked like water.”

“Blue Jeans” could get dirty remixed quick, and “My Cowboy” pop/rap-country declaration could be really popular with the straight girls and the gay boys who want a ‘cowboy’.  “Big Mouth” is a reminder that she’s outspoken (“if it pops into my head its comin’ straight out my mouth”), while “Inevitable” is the most solid country song on this debut album.  The most interesting thing about “Girl Next Door” is Katy Perry co-wrote it and I’m not sure why Jessie decided to put it on her debut album, though it fits her voice, I felt it would have been better saved for the next release.

Solid debut album with flirtations, conviction and a powerhouse voice to back it up, from a star in the making who won’t be denied.  Jessie James has everything it takes to make us want her to stick around and keep making fun records like this.

Even though most of us knew, Idol star Adam Lambert finally comes out in Rolling Stone on newsstands tomorrow.  I predict that women who were in denial are still going to love him anyway because he does in my opinion, have that mainstream crossover appeal where it simply doesn’t matter to people who he is attracted to personally.  The cover is hot, and I predict will be one of the best selling issues of RS that the publication has seen in some time.

I know I’m looking forward to it, I’ve been one of the die-hards Lambert fans from the beginning of Idol, and I think this is only the beginning for Lambert.  The biggest question is, are people going to focus on anything else from the article other than his sexuality?  He is a talented singer and entertainer, and since he is also newly signed record deal with RCA/19 Recordings, the comparisons to Elvis will continue.  I’m looking forward to his music – I think he’s going to keep blazing down the path of his own.  I think he sets a good example for artists who aren’t afraid to be themselves.  I only hope that people will remember to focus on his music because he has the talent back it all up.
