We recently sat down with another chat with one of our favorites, Eden Riegel, about her latest web series, Cooking To Get Lucky, as well as her return to All My Children and the latest on Imaginary Bitches:

Bambi Weavil: How did you get involved with Cooking to Get Lucky?

ER: Well, my husband and brother are the co-producers and co-directors of the show, so I guess I had a pretty good shot of landing the gig! Really, Andrew [Eden's husband] had this idea percolating in his head for some time. It happens to be how he won me over. On our third date he had me over for a delicious and sexy meal that he cooked himself. I was incredibly impressed, and touched that he was so thoughtful. We got married last year so I would say we are Cooking to get Lucky's first success story. And I hope there are many more to follow! So, Andrew had this arsenal of quick, easy, inexpensive meal recipes that only make it look like you've been slaving in the kitchen all day. I love to cook so I adapted and added to them. And we were dying to do something with Bob Guiney, a good friend of ours who is a great host, but also an unbelievably funny guy. Bob can also play a pretty good doofus, so he was perfect to represent the everyman who is all thumbs in the kitchen. If I can teach Bob these recipes, you know they are fool-proof.

We got married last year so I would say we are Cooking to get Lucky‘s first success story. And I hope there are many more to follow! So, Andrew had this arsenal of quick, easy, inexpensive meal recipes that only make it look like you’ve been slaving in the kitchen all day.

BW: How much of it is improvised?

ER: It’s all improvised. Bob is so funny so he comes up with some outrageous stuff off the top of his head. Our show has got a little bit of raunchy humor in it (it is called Cooking to get LUCKY, after all) but it’s all in good fun. Bob makes me laugh through the whole shoot. Sometimes my cheeks and belly hurt after we shoot an episode. He is so quick. And, fortunately, we have Andrew and Sam [Eden's brother] on hand all the time to come up with funny bits and funny lines, and shake things up. It’s a lot of fun on set. After Imaginary Bitches I decided I only wanted to work with friends.

BW: I enjoy the cute tips mixed in with the cooking prep to style it up a bit – where do you get your own personal home entertaining inspiration from? We’d love to see you throw in a drink recipe like Bob does.

ER: Bob’s in charge of the booze. He’s the expert! Of course I’m just joking. But I think he does like having his own area of expertise, so I don’t want to step on any toes.

Thank you! The quick tips are my favorite! We have a friend, Cele, who did our wedding and our house and is an absolute crazy genius. She is our consultant for the quick tips. They have to be fun, fast, easy decorating tips, that any guy could make with stuff hanging around his house and a trip to the grocery or hardware store. Nothing fancy. We don’t want to intimidate anyone. She comes up with brilliant stuff that would wow any girl coming over for dinner. It’s that extra step that makes some one feel really special. And just might help you seal the deal.

BW: How can fans submit their videos for possible inclusion? We’d love it if a gay date dilemma was selected for one episode! That’d be tons of fun.

ER: That’s a great idea. We say the show is geared toward men, but I think that’s mostly so as not to scare guys away. The show is for everyone who has a special some one they want to impress the pants off of. We accept videos from absolutely everyone and it is really easy to submit a video on the CTGL website (www.cookingtogetlucky.com). The technology is amazing. So go do it! We might build a whole episode around your video plea.

BW: Does your husband get in on cooking/entertaining at home? What’s your favorite dish of his?

ER: We both love to cook and entertain. We have friends over for dinner all the time and a regular Sunday brunch that fills our home with love and laughter. My very favorite thing Andrew makes is a phenomenal cedar planked salmon with garlic and herbs. It’s a showstopper. I love fish, but this is a fish dish even he looks forward to.

BW: What can viewers expect in a future episode of Cooking to Get Lucky? What’s the best way your fans can catch the show?

ER: Viewers can expect whatever they ask of us. That’s the cool thing. Viewers can ask us to help with any dating dilemma they might have. No matter what they can expect lots of laughs. The best way to catch the show is on iTunes, www.cookingtogetlucky.com, or, if you have an iPhone, from the mDialog application on your phone. How cool is that? Anyway you get it you’ll see me and Bob in glorious HD video that streams like lightning.

BW: We think you sparkle in every project you take on and are thrilled you’re returning to All My Children (yay!). Any teasers you can give us there? Will this affect the incredible success of Imaginary Bitches? We hope you’ll have time to keep it going!

ER: Well, thanks! As you may have heard AMC has brought on Tamara Braun, an amazingly gifted actress you might have seen on General Hospital or Days of Our Lives, to play my girlfriend, Reese. We’re having a blast together. She is gorgeous, inside and out, and is such a truthful actress. I know fans of the show will love her. I already do. And Imaginary Bitches is still going strong. Right now I can announce the release date of the complete first season DVD, with bloopers, commentaries, cast interviews, and more. It will be available at www.imaginarybitches.com on November 3rd. So pick one up and don’t forget to vote the next day!

BW: Thank you Eden! To support Eden in all her works, check out Cooking To Get Lucky and Imaginary Bitches. You can catch Eden on All My Children, weekdays on ABC!
