Readers: Ways You Can Support Out Impact!

Dear Friends and Readers:

Out Impact is approaching our three year anniversary on June 6, 2010, and quite the grassroots journey it’s been. We’re in the process of becoming a non-profit and we need your support to continue to create a positive impact with our editorial and philanthropic missions. You can make the difference and participate in this journey with us.

This year:

• We are in the process of becoming a non-profit – we are waiting on the paperwork back! This means advertisement and donations from individuals and sponsors will be 100% tax deductible!
• We have updated our layout at OutImpact.com, as well as currently expanding our team of writers and lifestyle-based content that has always and will always remain for both gay men and women and our allies. We are close to reaching 200,000 hits since we first started.
• We are expanding our brand and bringing more focus in the upcoming year to our video brand channel, OutImpact.TV
• Our biggest event occurs on June 6^th featuring Randy Jones, the Original Village People Cowboy, in Carolina Beach, NC, where 100% of net proceeds benefit the CUE Center for Missing Persons. Tickets can be bought at http://www.outimpact.com/events. We will also be giving away two pairs of Cyndi Lauper tickets for her upcoming Myrtle Beach, SC show at the House of Blues in July for anyone who attends!
• We have launched our free Professional Teleseminar Series last month featuring Jeff Berger and Eric Kodner of the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals, this month we present John Bramham of Genworth Financial to present information on long-term care and the importance of it for the gay community. 10% of all sponsors for our series benefit another non-profit as well! We recently donated 150$ to Equality NC thanks to the sponsorship from John! We are also seeking sponsors for our professional series which is a great way to advertise your business to our readers and the gay community!
• We are seeking individual donors as well as business donors to keep Out Impact going – every dollar counts in continuing our mission in providing you the best, diverse and comprehensive content as well as helping various non-profits around the country! In our history we have helped organizations such as PSI/YouthAIDS, Coastal Horizons – The Rape Crisis Center, Equality NC, Sylvia’s Place and more. With your donation, we can expand our organization and reach more exposure, produce more events around the country, as well as help more non-profits all year long!

We have been working hard in the gay community to make a positive impact for three years, and with your support, we can continue to grow and continue to help various non-profits at the same time. We want to offer you a potential Plan of Support and Action, but we also realize not everyone can donate monthly, so we have created a Do What You Can level. Remember that your donation will be 100% tax deductible this year!
