L.P.

There’s something soul gripping in both a fierce and vulnerable way about L.P.’s music. She’s rock and roll for sure, but she could easily crossover into some pop appeal. She’s the type of artist that can win over a audience with just one song, and if the teaser out for her upcoming third album is any indication, she’s already won me over.

Hercules and Love Affair

So… You thought disco was dead, did you? Well not so fast! It seems that disco is seeing a resurgence at the dance clubs and on the air waves. In the front pew of this resurrection is a band named Hercules and Love Affair.

Ron Morris Truth Stained Lies
Ron Morris is a outstanding openly out folk singer/songwriter who reminds me of James Taylor with his quality songcrafting and acoustic sound. Truth Stained Lies, Morris’ third album and first full-length album in three years, is a collection of stories that Morris tells himself or that other tells him about who he is, what he’s scared of, what should happen, what actually happened and so on. It’s all about identity, perspective, finding the shred of truth in these stories.

Matt Jones

Matt Jones is a singer/songwriter with a poetic strength in his lingering and powerfully vulnerable music. “Jugular Bones and Blisters” starts off with a haunting violin and spreads into Matt’s gorgeous acoustic sound. His music is hauntingly organic, and engaging, even in a moment of silence, I feel his lingering voice and deep music is influencing the pause into the next song. His songwriting is visual and poetic, gothic Americana that is able to capture moments the way they are and the way they feel.
