TERESE GENECCO & HER LITTLE BIG BAND are BACK on Saturday nights at 10:30 at San Francisco’s swankiest new nightclub, THE RRAZZ ROOM in the Hotel Nikko, just off Union Square. An out lesbian entertainer, Genecco has been making waves ever since the debut of her one-woman show, “Drunk With Love: A Tribute To Frances Faye!” hit the nightclub scene in 2005. Now with multiple awards to her name (a 2008 MAC Award for Best Recording, a 2007 Backstage Bistro Award for Best Tribute Show, two years in a row on Time Out New York magazine’s Top Ten Best lists, and San Francisco’s reigning “Entertainer of The Year) Genecco is wowing crowds at The Rrazz Room with her Retro Las Vegas style nightclub act, complete with 7 of the West Coast’s best jazz musicians, including the legendary Jack “Mr Bongo” Costanzo, who played with Peggy Lee, Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, Nat “King” Cole, Frances Faye, Frank Sinatra, and other mid-20th Century jazz and pop music icons. Genecco’s shows are a high-energy romp through the classic American Songbook, full of swinging Rat Pack style arrangements, comedy, and special guest stars.
