Oh and the painting of her in the hospital with the fetus floating above her… misscarriage. She wanted the child in spite of warnings that she couldn’t have it safely. She did have 2 abortions that are known of, one before the misscarriage and one after.

Also… the painting of the woman giving birth is her mother. The sheet coving the womans face is symbolizing her mother’s passing, she died while Kahlo was working on the painting. Also, yes to a previous comment, she indeed was not bedridden for most of her life. She was in pain for most of her life however.

Rivera’s affair with Christina (Kahlo’s sister) DID lead to divorce. Rivera and Kahlo remarried about 1 year later. This is to the best of my knowledge anyhow.

Please check facts about Frida Kahlo before writing and publishing things that are not correct. For example, she was not completely bedridden for the majority of her life; her father was German and not Hungarian. Let’s honor Frida with truth and respect!
