Crowds packed the Apple store in Soho early in preparation to see actress Meryl Streep, actor Tommy Lee Jones, actor Steve Correll and director David Frankel for the special “Meet the Filmmaker” podcast that Apple has been putting out this year for their upcoming movie, Hope Springs (Facebook, Twitter). There was a certain buzz in the air, as fans from various countries made a point not to tour other populations to just “get a picture” of Meryl Streep, said one fan nearby.
Streep came out wearing a big white bandage on her left hand because of a cooking accident she had at her home in Connecticut. The cast spoke fondly of one another’s time working together, as they encourages fans to check out the comedy, opening this Friday. An interesting fact, this is the first movie Streep has done not shot on film and done on video. In attendance were a lot of NYU students, whom all related to and connected to Streep’s class and charm. Who was equally charming was a 10-year old boy who asked a question and asked for an autograph from the cast.
More from this “Meet the Filmmaker” series soon, enjoy the photos and the trailer for Hope Springs!
