YRG – Own Your Life, Fitness On Your Own Terms
by Bambi Weavil
(Meet Arthur! Arthur Boorman’s amazing journey — filmed and edited by his 19-year-old son Warren — as he sets a goal to walk again and to reclaim his life. An Army veteran who was hurt in the first Gulf War, Arthur suffered for 15 years with the effects of a botched surgery that left him unable to walk without the assistance of leg braces and canes. By February 2007, he had ballooned to 297 pounds and, by his own admission, was waiting to die. In looking for a yoga program to alleviate some of his constant pain, Arthur found the YRG workout created by Diamond Dallas Page. He gained inspiration and strength from DDP and other members of Team YRG to propel him toward his goal — “I Will Walk Again!” — and, ultimately, to blow past it. Watch here as Arthur vividly demonstrates that life is not about how many times you fall down — it’s about how many times you get up.)
If you’ve ever wanted to:
a) lose weight
b) live a healthier lifestyle
c) try for a six-pack
d) all of the above
then you’ve probably gone down many roads only to meet obstacle after obstacle. You’ve probably tried a bunch of things that didn’t fit your lifestyle and most likely gave up after a few frustrating days.
Well it’s a new year, and why not start it with something that will actually work! Meet “Diamond” Dallas Page, (Facebook, Twitter) the creator of YRG Fitness System. The background: DDP was a high-profile, main event professional wrestling superstar who was at the top of his game. This is a guy who worked his ass off to get and stay at the top. Nothing was ever given to him.
While the benefits of being a top guy professional wrestling business are great (fame, money, etc.), your body pays a heavy price. DDP learned that the hard way:
“I didn’t become a pro wrestler until I was 35 and my career didn’t take off until I was 39. At 40 I was one of the top wrestlers in the world and then at 42 I suffered a potentially career-ending injury. Three doctors said my wrestling career was over. Around that time my wife said I should try yoga to heal my body. I was like, yoga — you’re kidding, right? I always thought yoga was a bunch of spiritual mumbo jumbo. But I was desperate, so I gave it a shot. I was blown away by the fact that yoga was actually helping my body and my mind! But as good as I was feeling, the reality was that yoga wasn’t giving me the intensity I needed in my workout.”
“So I started looking at other exercise techniques to help me build more strength. I also wanted a full-blown cardio workout that wouldn’t beat up my body. I teamed up with trainers, nutritionists and kinesiologists and ended up with a workout where I took the basic principles of yoga, blended with elements of strength conditioning, Pilates and mixed martial arts. Now I had invented an “all-in-one-workout” that gave me intense cardio with no impact on my joints, increased flexibility and strength conditioning… and I called it YRG. Think of it like this: If yoga is a bicycle then YRG is a Harley! They both have two wheels, but that’s where the similarity ends.”
There are many systems out there, but this one works! You will lower your stress level, gain strength and flexibility, and this is going to happen without intimidation – DDP is not a drill sergeant who intimidates you into working out. His DVDs are encouraging—you actually look forward to a workout session!
This system is made for you to do around your own schedule-and each DVD Workout targets a different area. I run a busy day-to-day life so I am doing my workouts to jump-start my days in the morning, to give me the energy I need to balance my life. I always feel so much better and more energized. NO COFFEE NEEDED!

The Diamond Cutter Workout focuses on every part of your body while building strength, increasing flexibility, and gives you an incredible cardio workout with NO HARMFUL IMPACT.
The Diamond Dozen includes the fundamental positions of every YRG workout, and Energy! focuses on 20 power-packed minutes designed to wake up your body and get you ready for your day.
Fat Burner is self-explanatory, providing total body conditioning and hitting those target areas that drive us crazy in a fast-paced, intense, high cardio 25-minute workout!
Red Hot Core focuses squarely on your core and abs and takes ONLY 12 minutes! Guys and Girls can agree on one thing—WE ALL WANT AWESOME ABS!
Below The Belt is meant specifically for the ladies, focusing on the butt and thighs but fellas can also gain incredible strength in the glutes and thighs during this workout!
Now I know what you’re thinking….how can I, who have tried countless DVDs, audio tapes, etc. etc. stick with THIS program? What makes YRG different? How will this make me deal with my self-discipline issues?
DDP has created Team YRG for this specific reason. You will be able to be a part of the virtual community that is working on YRG together and are sharing this journey with you. Team YRG is an online community where you can exchange tips, share progress, discuss dietary options, and believe it or not MAKE FRIENDS. You will also get to interact with the man himself, DDP. Where else can you really have hands on encouragement and feedback like this from around the world?
YRG works for me like nothing else has, but it is also working for countless others like singer Carnie Wilson. Meet this knockout, Dawn Marie, former WWE diva who now heads her own non-profit giving back to the wrestling community, Wrestlers Rescue:

Dawn Marie after YRG!
“I absolutely love incorporating the YRG Fitness System into my weight loss journey on my website, www.DawnMarieOnline.com. I had gained almost 70 lbs. while being pregnant with my 2nd child, Katie. I had gained about 80 lbs. with my 1st child, Matthew in 2005. I never really was able to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight after Matthew. So, I just figured since I was a few years older and the weight was back I had no chance in HELL of getting back to my weight before I got pregnant with Matthew.
After talking to Dallas when I expressed my fears and challenges he told me to try his YRG program and he would guide me through it.
After the first few weeks I started to feel less winded and my neck, that I have had problems with for years, was actually starting to feel like it never had a problem.
Well, here I am 7 months later and I am back down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 135 lbs. Thanks to the fact that YRG is built so I could modify it to my ability and my hectic schedule of being a new Mom for the second time I was able to achieve my goal!”
What makes YRG different? It’s the first workout of its kind to use a Heart Rate Monitor. This will obviously show you if you are working out hard enough, but its key purpose is to make sure you don’t work out TOO HARD. Yes, you heard me right—DDP wants to make sure you don’t work out too hard.
DDP also offers some various dietary tips in the program guide that comes with the 6 DVDs, heart monitor and poster, and if you are looking for more ideas then don’t be shy and head over to the Team YRG community and exchange recipes and ideas there!
YRG will help you own your own life on your own terms, keeping you healthy and energized for anything that comes your way!
YRG is also extremely affordable. There are a few different payment options to keep it flexible for you. So check it out here at YRG Fitness, you’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain!
Bonus: Here are some tips from DDP to get started.

YRG is an amazing system of well being. I have been a procrastinator when it comes to exercise. I’ve achieved other things in my life — and now physical well being is attainable for me with YRG.
I am more than motivated with YRG. It’s not only an exercise program, a youthing system, (as DDP says “YRG holds back the hands of time!) it is a healthy lifestyle that I never again want to be without.
I love the videos, the food plan (which has turned my health around) and the heart and soul of one of the greatest human beings I have ever met–Diamond Dallas Page. He is aptly named because he is a gem!!! YRG is his gift to the world!!! EVERYONE will benefit from YRG. I hope you don’t wait to get the program; I hope you RUN! It’s that good.

I’m so glad more people are hearing about Dallas Page and his YRG fitness system. I’ve been doing it for 6 months and am stronger and able to do a more intense workout than I ever could in my 10 years of yoga practice. And it’s fun! When is the last time you laughed and smiled while working out? Yeah, DDP is a big bad wrestler but I’ll let you in on a secret. He has a heart of gold and he wants everyone to win!
He is a pro and is on to something big! Let him be your coach. You will amaze and inspire yourself!

I have been doing YRG for 8 months. In that time I have lost 41 pounds! Before working with Dallas, I had tried calorie counting and cardio workouts. I wasn’t loosing at all. At 52 years old, I blamed my age and menopause and really thought I would be heavy for the rest of my life.
Now I am wearing the “skinny jeans” that I haven’t worn since I was in my 30’s that I didn’t want to get rid of but couldn’t wear. You know, the jeans that I wore for about 15 minutes one time when I lost weight before I gained it again and they didn’t fit. But this time, not only am I still losing weight, but I am losing inches and getting more muscle tone every day.
YRG has given me a new possibility for life in my 50’s 60’s and 70’s. I feel stronger, more flexible and have more energy than I thought I could. Who knows what’s possible with YRG?
If you want to feel better, younger, stronger, or more alive, no matter what shape you’re in now, just do YRG 3 hours a week for a couple of weeks. You will be a believer!

Dallas is really inspirational. I have tried a friends YRG Fitness DVD but ended up buying the original YRG Workout at a much lower price on ebay. For me, I like the original one better and it is the one that Arthur used to lose all that weight. Great mix of pillates and Yoga togehter. Thanks DDP! – Michelle
