here!’s Hot Gay Comics series featuring Keith Price, Brad Loeckle, Claudia Cogan and others
here!, America’s premium gay television network is pleased to announce the premiere of the hilarious new series Hot Gay Comics. The series featuring the best in out-and-proud comedy debuted on the network on Friday, November 14th. A far cry from traditional stand-up, it features both LGBT mainstays and up-and-comers in today’s comedy world.
Hot Gay Comics is hosted by Dave Rubin, former host of the here! podcast also titled Hot Gay Comics. After seven years of closeted comedy, Rubin finally got out and quickly became a hot commodity in the New York City gay comedy scene. The Hot Gay Comics podcast — also hosted by Rubin — has been already been a major hit on the here! website.
Hot Gay Comics is taped at the famed Comix in the heart of the meatpacking district of lower Manhattan. Among the comics featured on Hot Gay Comics are Keith Price (Sirius Satellite Radio’s Out Q in the Morning), Anne Neczypor and Jackie Monahan (here!’s Girls on Girls podcast), popular drag performer Hedda Lettuce, Shawn Hollenbach (here!’s Busted) and Mike Singer.
ABOUT DAVE RUBIN (HOST)
Dave Rubin is a 9 year veteran of the New York City comedy scene. He has worked every comedy club in NYC and is widely recognized. He helped found The Comedy Company, the first full-time comedy club run by the comedians themselves as well as co-producing ThursGay, a weekly comedy show in the East Village. Currently, he runs a weekly show, The Back Room at the new comedy hot spot, Comix. Dave also hosts the Hot Gay Comics podcast for here!, where he interviews the hottest comedic talent in the country. Dave lives with his dog Emma, and his boyfriend sleeps over usually three or four nights a week.
ABOUT ERIC FELDMAN (DIRECTOR)
Eric Feldman is the General Manager East Coast & Executive Vice President, Programming and Operations for here! Networks, and is responsible for the programming, scheduling, program planning and on-air operations of all network broadcast efforts.
Feldman is an accomplished network programmer with 15 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, production, marketing and promotion for television and original entertainment properties. He has designed and executed award-winning programming and brand strategies for worldwide entertainment entities including Cablevision, Rainbow Media, Universal Television, Global Media Holdings, Sony Corporation, USA Networks, MTV Networks and Viacom.
Preceding his role at Here Networks, Feldman acted as the Director of Programming Planning and On-Air Strategy for Rainbow Media’s Fuse Network, where he managed the development of the programming efforts for the upstart music video network.
While at Cablevision, Feldman was directly involved in the launch and advancement of Cablevision’s high definition satellite efforts, along with the programming and operations of the high-definition music network, Rave.
In other key positions, Feldman was Vice President of Programming for Global Media Holdings, L.L.C. where he was directly responsible for the programming, scheduling, development and on-air operations for broadcast and Video On Demand services of all international Global Media properties in the United States and Japan.
Additionally, Feldman worked at MTV Networks where he implemented the program planning and on-air promotion schedule for VH1, as well as the cross channel promotional schedules for all of Viacom’s cable networks, including MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central.
With his extensive cable television background, Feldman has created the operational infrastructure that here! Networks uses to service numerous cable, satellite, and IP platforms that deliver here!’s groundbreaking content to American consumers.
