Natalie Maines announces new album, Mother from Columbia Records on Vimeo.

Natalie Maines (Facebook, Twitter), lead singer of the Dixie Chicks, returns with her debut new solo album, Mother on Tuesday, May 7th.  This will not be a clone of the Dixie Chicks signature sound that the best-selling female group of all time created, but more influenced by the more rock-based, edgy and intense sound of title track, and Pink Floyd cover, “Mother”.  Maines teamed up with friend and Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and guitar wizard Ben Harper, who co-produced the record with Maines.  All of the album’s 10 songs  on Columbia Records were selected because of personal connections to Natalie.  For more information, visit http://nataliemainesmusic.com/.
