“U Want Me 2″ – new Sarah McLachlan video

The amazing Sarah McLachlan has a new 16-track anthology which represents the amazing career of her multi-platinum body of work, as well as two brand new and previously unissued recordings (“U Want Me 2″ and “Don’t Give Up On Us”).  If you’re a new fan or someone who has stayed loyal to Sarah, this is a must-have collection for you.

Since joining the Arista artist family two decades ago, every one of her studio and live albums have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum by the RIAA.  How many artists can have that much award-winning consistency?  Sarah entered this exclusive category starting with Touch (1988) and Solace (1991), both gold sellers.

Each song is so strong on their own and so moving and narrative – “Angel” is one of the most moving songs from Surfacing.  “Building a Mystery”, from the same album (which is Diamond-certified – selling 10x platinum), originally entered the Billboard chart at Number Two and was award as Best Female Pop Vocal by the Grammys.  This song is most synonymous with Sarah’s success.

Sarah founded the legendary Lilith Tour in 1997 and  “I Will Remember You” is a live cut from the 1999 tour and once again she was honored by the Grammys for this performance.  “Hold On”, from Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is written like a country classic with her trademark pop vocal, and one of the most underrated Sarah songs in her catalog and I’m glad it’s part of this special collection.

Enjoyable, classy and moving – Sarah McLachlan continues to move the masses with her unmistakable talent.
