I consider myself a casual Sarah Brightman fan. I could identify her talented soprano voice if I heard it, and I associated it with Broadway music. It seemed only natural that Brightman would release a majestic new Christmas album, A Winter Symphony.
Brightman with her trademark big, strong and defining vocals bring even more prestige to holiday classics such as “Silent Night,” “Amazing Grace” and In the “Bleak Midwinter.” One of the strongest songs off this twelve-song Christmas album is “Ave Maria,” a duet with Fernando Lima, is nothing short of incredible and few people can truly pull this song off as good as Brightman.
This album will keep you in the Christmas spirit without it being tacky (no “Jingle Bell Rock” here or urgings to make out with Jolly Ole St. Nick) and if you are a longtime Brightman fan, you will add this to your collection quickly.
