JayBezz – Evolove

Those lyrics by new openly gay R&B artist, JayBezz (MySpace, Facebook, Twitter), could easily describe JayBezz as a artist.  He has recently released Evolove this past week and this is a innovative  journey you’ll want to take!

This album is realness personified, from every spectrum of emotion without being cheap, cheesy or overdone.  With “Prey,” I love the tribal drumming and rock hypnotic flare, unapologetic sexuality and flirting. “Forever Together” sounds like a intercom message from a flight attendant, setting the intention of the future being bright with someone you value.  “Love-o-matic” has updated Motown groove to it, and “On My Mind” is taking a risk of vulnerability to someone you’re into.

“No Regrets” a techno/R&B beat is a declaration of being cheated on by your man, and not putting up with it.  “Drops The Beat” is sexual clubbin’ on the prowl and could be a really popular club song in the future.  “J–BE-Z ft Socioo” is simply not putting up with shit.

“Turn and Walk Away” is tender, heartbreaking yet beautiful, whenever JayBezz shows his vulnerability, it’s gripping.  “Back In Your Life” is one of my favorites and closes out the album, and the realness of the situation is one where a lot of us can connect to… where you know it’s not the right time for a relationship, even though that’s all that you want, and realizing despite it not being it the way you want it to go, that you’re worth the wait.
