DJ David Knapp – Party Groove: White Party 9

Decadant parties and dance events in the form of white parties have been apart of long-time gay culture and Miami is no exception. DJ David Knapp was one in an exclusive group of DJs asked to play last year and he is also behind the new Official benefit album, Party Groove: White Party 9, produced by Centaur. The White Party CD will benefit Care Resource, considered Florida’s One Source for HIV/AIDS services.
Atlanta-based Knapp is well known for his classic house mixes that blend the latest and hottest beats and biggest voices in dance. His latest collection include seven artist who have all sat comfortably on the charts, as well as two of his own productions – “Exordium” and “Manumission”. Highlights of the album include a Calimocho Club Mix of the always inspiring “Spotlight” covered by Dreamette, the motivating “Joyful Sound” by Debby Holiday, Celeda’s “Good Time” and DJ Lucerox’s “Free Your Mind” that is sure to get your body moving. I recommend the CD for a good work out session, or a fun party among friends who may feel the need to get up and dance when they connect with the right tune for this great cause.
