Rarely does an album come across my desk to review that I love absolutely everything about it. However, the 2007 album by Angie Stone, The Art of Love & War, is one of those rare albums. The album consists of 14 tracks. Angie served as the Executive Producer for the album. There are several reasons why you will want to pick up this album. Let’s find out what they are.
The first reason is because in this current time of life, there are all kinds of stress in the world. From the stock market to the troubled real estate to celebrities acting out. Let’s face it, every day you come home from work you have either a spouse or children in your face either complaining or whining about something. I recommend that instead of listening to the whining and groaning and moaning and complaining, go in your room of solitude and put The Art of Love & War in your CD player. Then sit back with a cup of coffee, or whatever your favorite drink is, and just sit and relax. Listening to this album will definitely lower the stress factor in your life.
I think what makes this CD such a great stress lowerer is because Angie sings about the positives. She sings about love. She sings about being happy with yourself. I am seriously shocked that this CD hasn’t gotten more press than it has because it’s a great song. The Art of Love & War would be a great date CD. Say you bring your date back to your house and you want to get to know them better and just sit and talk. Pour your date a glass of wine, stick this CD in and if you have a fire place that would add even more spice to the night. Then just sit down and talk. Who knows, you may have just found your true love and thanks to Angie’s lovely CD, you got to know each other in a private setting.
This has been Angie’s highest-charting album after it debuted at number eleven on the U.S. Billboard 200. It would sell 45,000 copies in the first week.
Go out today and decrease your stress level by picking up The Art of Love & War by Angie Stone. If listening to this album in a quiet environment doesn’t make you feel better; I really don’t know what will!
