Death At A Funeral review

Death At A Funeral, a British dark comedy currently available on DVD from MGM Home Entertainment, revolves around Daniel trying to bury his father in a dignified manner and becomes uncontrollable chaos. From critically acclaimed director Frank Oz (Bowfinger, In & Out), delivers on a train wreck of bad behavior, Valium outbreaks, skeletons in the closet and confusion. Death At A Funeral was declared the Audience Award winner at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and was a runaway hit at the Locarno International Film Festival, as this movie touches as many taboos as you can think of.
It requires patience to get the plot going, but once the skeleton is out of the closet, each outlandish behavior makes more sense including how one main character is naked on top of the roof while another is struggling to use the bathroom. The reason to watch this movie: Alan Tudyk’s performance as drugged-up Simon, who steals the spotlight in this movie in more ways than one. The casting was perfect and believable, and for fans of dark comedies, this is worth the view.
