The woman with a voice that blows me away is Ledisi. Ledisi, which means “to bring forth” in the Yoruba language of Nigeria, truly knows how to bring it. Her voice is outstanding, the right balance of richness, soulfulness and stellar beauty that can make you feel and identify emotions with her on Lost & Found. The live intro and outro of “Been Here” bring a great teasing live teaser of the energy of Ledisi in front of a audience. Many out there, including myself, are out loud wondering, where has this woman been all these years, but for those of us just discovering her, we feel like we’ve found something truly special.

Valeria is known to mean “strong, healthy or capable.” Does Interscope Records recording artist and actress from Just Married and Sister Act 2, live up to the name? She’s beautiful, and I think she has potential, but I can’t help but this is someone who is trying to be a Fergie/Shakira-type artist but can’t quite be as good.
